Terms of Service

Atelier is run by Greenwood Studios LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“we”), which sells photographs made by the photographers credited on them. You can reach us at help@greenwoodstudios.dev. You means whoever is using the site, whether directly or through an AI assistant acting on your instructions.

If an assistant searches, proposes or buys on your behalf, you are responsible for what it does with your account, as if you had done it yourself. Every payment is still approved by you, on a checkout page you open.

Anyone may browse the public galleries and search the photographs for sale without an account. Previews are provided so that you can choose; they are not licensed for any use, and the full photograph is only yours once bought.

To buy, you must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.

You sign in with your email address, by a link we send to it. Keep access to that inbox to yourself — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You can revoke an assistant’s access from your account at any time.

We may suspend an account that is used to breach these terms or the license, to defraud, or to attack the service. Suspension takes effect immediately, including for any assistant connected to the account. Photographs already bought legitimately stay licensed to you.

• Photographs are bought with credits. A new account starts with 1 credit free; the free credit may be limited to galleries whose photographer has offered it.
• You can buy a single photograph outright, or subscribe for a number of credits each billing period. The price, with any sales tax or VAT due where you live, is shown on the checkout page before you pay.
• At checkout you are asked to agree to these terms and to the Return Policy, and to ask for immediate delivery. The contract is made when the payment succeeds.
• A subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel. Its credits are granted when each period’s payment is received and, unless your plan says otherwise, expire at the end of that period if unspent.
• You may cancel a subscription at any time. It ends at the close of the period already paid for, and no further credits are granted or charged.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Every photograph is sold under the Personal use license (version 1). In short: use the image on your own devices and personal projects, forever. No resale, no redistribution, no commercial use, no AI training.

The full text is on the front page, and your assistant can read it to you before you buy. The version you buy under is recorded with the purchase and never changes for that photograph, even if a later version is offered to new buyers.

A license you have bought does not end when a subscription does, and you may download the photograph again at any time. It does end if the payment for it is refunded or reversed — see the Return Policy.

The photographer keeps the copyright in every photograph, and all rights not granted by the license. Their name is supplied with each file and must not be removed.

If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to us with the work concerned, where it appears on the site, and your contact details. We will investigate and take down anything that infringes.

If you use Atelier to deliver your own work, you confirm that you made the photographs you upload, or hold the rights to publish them, and that you have any consent needed from the people in them. Switching on “Sell this gallery” authorises us to offer its photographs under the license above, at the price you set, with your name on every one.

• Scrape, bulk-download or mirror the previews or the catalogue.
• Try to reach a photograph, gallery or account you have not been given access to.
• Overload, probe or interfere with the service, or help anyone else do so.
• Use a stolen payment method, or dispute a charge you in fact authorised.

The service is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running and your purchases downloadable, but cannot promise it will never be interrupted, and to the extent the law allows we make no other promises about it. If a photograph you bought can no longer be delivered, we will refund it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for anything arising from your use of the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have as a consumer that the law where you live says cannot be taken away — including, if you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your statutory rights over digital content that is faulty or not as described.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and of the United States. If something goes wrong, write to us first — most things can be put right by email. A dispute that cannot be settled that way goes to the state or federal courts in Massachusetts.

If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country, and may bring a claim in its courts.

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when the current wording took effect, and a change applies only from then on. A change never alters the license on a photograph you have already bought. If a change affects a subscription you hold, we will tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the license and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between us about the service.
